When, in
the course of human events, a recombinantly malevolent alien
creature can steal the presidency of the United States, and
then use this theft for the purposes of fillial profiteering and
massacre, the silencing of life in the biosphere, and to destroy
human dignity and hope on a global scale...two facts become obvious,
and must be immediately admitted:
Voting
isn't enough. We should force all presidents to be capable of writing,
speaking, and adjucating more adeptly than all of our nation's forebearers
combined. There should be a standing challenge to any incumbent,
to better and expand the philosophies and strategies of the
founders of our nation. Innovation, heartfulness, and humanity should
be the arbiters of our election - not numbers of votes from consituencies
who were never educated beyond the slavery they found in the fifth
grade.
Go ahead and vote - select four winners in each possible party -
then hold the game show to end all game shows. The one where the
baldly self-interested and the rapacious lose because their minds are not yet their own, but
belong instead to an alien god - the god of those half-raped into
something not yet resembling intelligence. The god of those who
eat the world and destroy human dignity and hope, for a set of baubles
which are merely mimics of things we laready possess...
A populous
where 72% of the people cannot form a reliable paragraph to save
their lives can be nothing but a population of worker-slaves. Woe
be unto those the attentions of their leaders, soldiers and police
are turned upon, for whatever reason.
