The brain is not a thing. It is neither complete within the skull, nor at the limits of the body. Like the Sun, without the brain, there are no things, meanings, or ways of assembling them. When one speaks of the brain, which I believe exists throughout the body and beyond, we must realize we are speaking of that from which the world of experience emerges, not that which experiences an external world.
