The bait is the means of positioning a fish for contact with a line you are holding.

When you catch the fish, the bait is forGotten.

Similarly with a rabbit and a snare: catch the rabbit, forGet the snare.

Words are a means to araange an idea in a given perspective and context.

Arriving at the idea, catch onto and follow it!
Don’t drag the words along!
(you don’t drive your entire house to the library, you take your car — and once there, you leave the car outside and enter the library...)

Forget about the surface of the words!

Grab what the toy of language is arranged to point at!

Where shall I find one who forgets about words, seeing where they arise, and the power of their pointing

— and have a word with them?

(paraphrased from Chuang Tzu)
