You will need a telnet application, or a mud client. Most likely, you can locate one at www.versiontracker.com - select the operating system your computer uses and type telnet in the search window. This should provide you with a list of possible downloads. Unless you're wealthy - pick a free one.

For more experienced users, a 'mud-client' is indispensable. They allow you to create sets of commands that can be executed with a single keystroke or the press of an onscreen button. Very useful - in fact, pretty much mandatory for a decent play experience. There are many mud clients. Type mud in the search window at www.versiontracker.com and see what software exists for your operating system. When ready, download a few and try them out a bit to see which one best suits you. We recommend Zmud (PC) and Rapscallion(Mac) - but there are quite a few different options.

Once you've selected one, managed to install it on your computer, etc - you then 'open a new connection'. This usually requires you giving the telnet application or mudclient the address of the mud. Organelle (Hrielith)'s address is organelle.org 4045. Type it in, hit connect, and all should be well. Then you can either create a new player, or continue with a previous one. That's 209.76.109.186, port 4045.
